Introduction

Welcome to Module 3. You now understand how AI behaves and which decisions are safe to accelerate with it. But even with the right decisions, single prompts are fragile — they break, they drift, they produce inconsistent results. This module shows you why, and introduces a more durable alternative: thinking in workflows.

What you'll learn in this module

  1. 1Why Prompts Are Fragile
  2. 2Thinking in Workflows
  3. 3Where AI Fits — and Where It Does Not

Imagine the following scenario

You spend 45 minutes perfecting a prompt that gets an AI assistant to produce a great weekly client report. It nails the structure, tone, and detail level. You save the prompt, confident you have solved the problem. Next Monday, you use the exact same prompt with new data. The output is noticeably worse — it misses sections, changes the format, and loses the tone. You tweak the prompt. Third week, it produces something different again. By week four, you realize you are spending more time managing the AI than you would writing the report yourself.

Have you ever found yourself reworking the same prompt over and over, trying to get consistent results?
